Topic: How the Media Affects Me
Essay:
Without a doubt I believe that the media, in all its forms most
certainly influences my decisions, and based on an ever-changing
daily dose, my opinions and outlook on any event could be altered.
How could someone living in an information overloaded society, not be affected.
With all the product shots,commercials and pop-up’s, that sell things which we aleady seem to have, making it appear better than what you already have,including our opinions, not be affected in some way.
> My decision to become a photojournalist is obviously based on my
> desire to influence the world in some small way. Whether it’s
> drawing someone to a new vacation spot, or helping to show some
> human interest story, or my own spin or viewpoint on some war.
> Every media outlet that surrounds me , changes me in some way. The
> pictures from Shri Lanka after the Tsunami, 9/11 shots from New
> York, all having had profound affects on my life, and the way I
> view the world.

> I am lucky enough to live in a country that allows the media great
> freedoms, especially when it comes to it’s advertising. Whether

> Having the internet has also given me an even greater advantage

> cars, clothes, movies and who the most interesting people of our
> time are. Having all these resources and choosing whether or not to
> use them is what makes us informed about our world, locally and
